Up to 1,800 t less CO₂ emissions per year
The film extrusion specialist POLIFILM EXTRUSION relies on state-of-the-art technology for its new investment in the stretch film division and thus saves plenty of electricity and CO₂. A highly efficient 7-layer stretch film line including new peripherals, such as a refrigeration system, has recently been installed at the site in Weißandt-Gölzau. Compared to similar and less efficient line combinations, approx. 3,300,000 kWh of electricity can be saved over 8,000 operating hours per year, which is equivalent to around 1,800 t of CO₂ per year. A result that not only contributes positively to the sustainability goals of the POLIFILM Group. The investment also meets the requirements of the BMWi for federal funding for energy efficiency in the economy and is subsidized.
