New coating plant in Brazil

Brazil is the world’s fifth largest country with a population of more than 200 million and has long been one of the economies with great prospects. Good enough reason for POLIFILM to add a local production facility to the long-standing sales in Brazil, despite the current economic crisis and collapse of the Brazilian currency. As “Think global, act local” should also be upheld in Brazil. The adventure began in autumn 2013 with the foundation of PFB do Brasil. A new 3,000 m² company building was chosen as the location north-west from Sao Paulo. 2014 was all about developing the new coating plant and the required peripherals. Besides the warehouse and packaging, a quality laboratory was especially set up. With active support from POLIFILM colleagues from the USA, China and Germany, the Brazilian POLIFILM team was able to cope with all the problems. In March 2015, the first protective films were finally produced at the plant. An excellent achievement when you consider the unusually tough bureaucratic hurdles. The protective film produced in their own country is being very well received by customers in Brazil, it is contributing more and more to the development of PFB do Brasil. The quality, professionalism and customer support concept are impressive, meaning there is nothing standing in the way of further growth in Brazil any more. Supplying customers in other South American countries can also be looked at now as there is plenty of production and storage capacity. The combination of Brazilian creativity and global POLIFILM process and product expertise will also ensure in future that the youngest member of our family will successfully master the path that lies ahead.
