POLIFILM supports cultural project by students of RWTH Aachen

The project "Floodlight Musicals", founded at the beginning of 2016 by a group of students from the Rhineland Westphalia Technical University [Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH)] Aachen, combines acting, music, dance and international flair in a unique way, in the University city of Aachen. There has been considerable interest in this, meaning that the ensemble is now not only made up of students and pupils, but also professionals in the area, and has attracted a great deal of attention.

From 23.06. - 25.06.2017 and on 29.06.2017, the sold-out performances of the musical "RENT" took place, which were also supported by POLIFILM in the scope of a crowdfunding campaign.

Apart from the performances, on the performance days, there was the opportunity for students to find out about the diverse range of activities at POLIFILM, this encompassed both potential graduate jobs after a degree, as well as internship positions. POLIFILM also offers the opportunity to accompany bachelor or master dissertations, in the scope of research topics, at various sites.

With over 44,500 students, RWTH Aachen, founded in 1870, is the biggest technical university in Germany, and officially holds the status of an "elite university". With nine faculties and 260 institutes, the Technical University of Aachen is an important economic driving force. The focus of the University of Aachen is engineering sciences (57% of all students).
