Employee Wins First Prize in Innovation Competition enbaled by Works Council

Setting new saftey standards in blown film production
Suzhou, May 2026 – POLIFILM CHINA CO., LTD. is pleased to announce that Mr. Zhou Kaizhang, EHS Safety supervisor, has received a First Prize in the Safety, Environmental Protection, and Energy Efficiency category at the 2026 Suzhou Municipal Five Small Innovation Competition. The competition is jointly organised by the Suzhou Federation of Works Council, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, attracting more than 427 projects.

Mr. Zhou developed an Emergency Stop with Instant Separation anti‑entanglement control system for the blown film production line. When an emergency stop is triggered, the system immediately separates mechanical elements to prevent operator entanglement instead of just stopping without unwinding. That´s improves both safety and production uptime.

Ms. Grace Gao, General Manager of POLIFILM China, was invited by Suzhou Federation of Works Council to present the award. The special role of the Works Council
Beyond the award, POLIFILM China’s works council was invited by the Suzhou Federation of works council to speak at a city‑wide forum on how collective bargaining supports employee innovation.
Ms. Bess Bian, Works Council Chairwoman, explained: `Collective bargaining must deliver implemented results – not just paper agreements. We build two‑way commitment.` Unlike the traditional confrontational perception, POLIFILM China’s management team treats the works council as a strategic partner.
