Our MDO PE film
Whether with or without EVOH as an oxygen barrier – these films convince in mono-material composites. The mono-axial orientation of the films results in optimal adjustment of the properties of the PE film and even in alignment with other material types. Our MDO solutions provide high stiffness, are easy processable on all common machines, and can be treated on one or both sides upon request. In short: they are the partner in mono-material composites and a reliable option for barrier solutions.

Our POLIPURE MDO printing films are the alternative to films that are difficult to recycle in laminates, such as PET films. Suitable for all common printing processes, they optimize the recyclability of the packaging and are therefore a reliable partner in mono-material laminates. Suitable for, among other things

MDO stands for Machine Direction Orientation. MDO films are therefore films that are stretched mono-axially – i.e. in one direction, the machine direction. This makes it possible to change the property profile of the film.
By stretching in machine direction, the mechanical properties of PE films can be changed. As a result, MDO PE films can replace other conventional materials such as PET or BOPP in laminates and thus increase the recyclability of the packaging solution. By for example adapting stiffness, transparency and printability, MDO films can be used in a wide range of applications and thus offer great potential for designing monomaterial solutions.
