POLIFILM CHINA Co. Ltd, our new state-of-the-art production facility in Changshu near Shanghai, replaced our former plant in Taicang in 2022. It creates a new benchmark in protective film manufacturing, offering increased capacity and efficiency enabling POLIFILM PROTECTION to respond flexibly to the growing market in Asia. Thanks to excellent connections to the port and rail and air transport links, our protective films reach their destination in the shortest possible time.

Specialist Knowledge

Our new factory brings together the knowledge and expertise of the whole POLIFILM Group. Specialists from all of our international locations jointly supported and planned the factory, plant construction, equipment, material flows and production processes. The result is the factory follows the entire production cycle from PE granulate to the finished film roll. It can provide all of the coating processes used in the group as well as producing co-extruded protective films along with state-of-the-art printing and converting facilities.

Environmental protection – in action

In Changshu, we use an energy optimised solvent recovery system. The technology developed at our Wipperfürth site reduces gas and electricity consumption as well as CO2 emissions. In addition, we use regenerative energies for hot water preparation and have implemented a lighting system that works largely with natural light.
