The POLICYCLE concept
Pioneer with tradition
We have been recycling polyethylene (PE) films in Germany for more than 30 years. That is more than 30 years of experience in the recycling process and in the processing of recyclates into film products. That knowledge and experience is our unique advantage. We know about the properties and polymer structures of regranulate and about the special requirements and control properties needed in the recycling process. But above all, we also know about the resulting characteristics of the material, because as anyone who has ever extruded or processed recyclate knows that not all recyclates are the same.

3 times more recyclate
We already produce over 20,000 metric tons of recyclate per year in-house, with more than 3,000 metric tons, primarily PCR, additionally purchased. By 2027, we aim to triple the volume of recyclate produced in-house which will include both post-industrial and post-consumer recyclate.
Equalcycling is our target
Wherever possible, we always strive to maintain the original quality of a film. This means that the regranulate gained from used film ideally goes back in the same or an equivalent film type. Because for us, regranulate is a valuable material.
Recycling & extrusion hand in hand
No extrusion without recycling, that is our aim. In the future, there will be no POLIFILM site within the group that extrudes but does not recycle. This is the only way we can successfully increase the amount of regranulate in products whilst simultaneously reducing the waste ratio.
