Acquisition of partner pro dis GmbH
Protection film specialist strengthens its presence in Central, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe
- Berlin-based pro dis GmbH is now a 100% subsidiary of the protective film manufacturer POLIFILM PROTECTION.

With pro dis GmbH, POLIFILM PROTECTION, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and producers of innovative surface protection films, is bringing a long-standing trading partner into the POLIFILM PROTECTION family. Pro dis is a proven expert in customer requirements and business practices in important markets in selected countries of Central, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe.
For almost twenty years, pro dis GmbH has specialised in the distribution of temporary surface protection films in 16 countries including Russia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania. The co-operation with POLIFILM PROTECTION dates back just as far.
With the complete integration of its distribution partner, the protective film manufacturer is now setting an important strategic course. “With this acquisition, we are following our philosophy of continuously developing the core business in important sales regions – as pro dis will now appear as part of the POLIFILM PROTECTION brand and thus improve our visibility as a protective film specialist and solution provider in the target markets,” explains Paul Beaver, CEO of POLIFILM PROTECTION.
In addition: pro dis has extensive knowledge of market-specific business practices and local customer requirements. Paul Beaver commented: “The pro dis team are close to the customers, know the cultures, the languages and the regional business. We are happy to now have this expertise in-house.”
