This also applies to Dr Gottfried Weyhe, Senior Research & Development Manager, at the site in Weißandt-Gölzau.
In a consortium of experts from science and the entire value chain, he contributed his knowledge and experience to the creation of DIN SPEC 91446, which for the first time makes it possible to classify plastic recyclates according to four different data quality levels, thus facilitating communication between recyclers and users. A standard that has been needed in the market for a long time to be able to utilise the potential of recyclates in a meaningful way and make a contribution to the circular economy.
