What is ISCC PLUS?
The International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) is an international certification system. The aim of the certification system is to ensure higher transparency and traceability of circulated sustainable plastic solutions along the entire value chain.
What are the benefits of certification?
The principle of ISCC PLUS is based on the mass balance approach throughout the entire supply chain. Amongst other things, this has the advantage that the conformities of the film products, such as the approval for direct food contact, remain unchanged, regardless of the type of raw material sources used.
ISCC PLUS at POLIFILM
With the ISCC PLUS certification it is possible for us to use biobased, biocircular and circular polyolefins (chemically recycled from post consumer waste), PE and PP in the film production and to produce the corresponding certified films with different proportions of the aforementioned materials.

We see the certification as an important building block for a wide range of tailor-made sustainable films, in addition to Design4Recycling solutions and the use of mechanically recycled materials in films for non-food applications.
Certified at two locations
POLIFILM EXTRUSION offers the production of ISCC PLUS certified solutions at two of its locations – Weißandt-Gölzau and Neukirchen.
